About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of web and mobile-friendly applications and Ecommerce platforms ensuring their operational readiness (security, health and performance).
Responsibilities
● Develop system designs and architecture for Cloud based web, mobile and eCommerce platforms, including integration with 3rd party solutions
● Design systems to accommodate future scaling needs while not over-engineering what we don▪t need ▪right now▪
● Review and understand business and technology needs. Document current and proposed architecture; identify issues or areas of improvement; recommend strategy, roadmap, solutions, methodologies, and frameworks.
● Establish and enforce WPS technical standards.
● Act as technical lead and mentor junior developers as needed
● Establish and maintain SLAs to meet needs and expectations for quality, performance and costs
● Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline
● Develop, test and maintain complex SQL queries, scripts and stored procedures
● Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
● Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
● Evaluate risk and inform stakeholders accordingly
● Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities, as needed, during and after business hours.
● Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers. Assist other developers with design, development and implementation of solutions.
● Work independently and as part of a team of developers; engage and interact users to understand issues and requirements.
● Utilize Version Control repositories for documentation, code, architecture, configuration and supporting data and meta-data
Skills and Qualifications
● Bachelor▪s or Master▪s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
● 7+ years Solution Architecture, Full Stack Development and DevOps experience
● Hands on experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Web services, APIs, A&A/SSO; Recent development and deployment experience on Amazon AWS
● Languages: JavaScript, React, Node, C#, Java, Python, R
● Database: Relational, non-Relational, SQL, NoSQL, Data Modeling
● Experience with Amazon AWS: S3, CloudFront, ETL Services, RDS, Aurora, AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, MySQL, MS SQL Server
● Experience with continuous integration systems: Jenkins, Cruise Control or similar
● Experience with infrastructure automation tools: Docker, Chef, Ansible or similar
● Experience maintaining several environments: e.g. development, user acceptance testing and production
● Knowledge or experience in AI/ML, and Mobile Development is a plus
● Lead developer, Peer and code review experience
● Experience in Waterfall/Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
● Experience with GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA, and PCI compliance and secure coding
● Excellent written and verbal communication
● Highly collaborative, flexible, team player, ▪get-it-done▪ attitude; motivated to learn and help others
● Strong organizational and process improvement skills
● Ability to organize and plan work independently in a rapidly changing environment
Instructions
