Client: Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower Engineer with a strong background in integration technologies and API security. The ideal candidate will work closely with application development and infrastructure teams to design, develop, and maintain DataPower solutions while ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to design, develop, and maintain IBM DataPower solutions
Implement and support API integrations using XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, and WebAPI technologies
Configure and manage authentication mechanisms including Basic, NTLM, Digest, JWT, OAuth 1.0/2.0, and Bearer tokens
Provide solution recommendations for new system implementations, upgrades, and decommissioning strategies related to IBM DataPower
Troubleshoot and provide technical support during production issues and outages
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system efficiency
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of integration platforms
Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in integration and middleware technologies
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataPower development and administration
Expertise in XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, and WebAPI technologies
Experience implementing authentication and authorization protocols such as Basic, NTLM, Digest, JWT, OAuth, and Bearer tokens
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Instructions
Experience in enterprise-level integration environments
Knowledge of API gateways and microservices architecture
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
