Job Description

Location: Remote – Per the client’s mandate, only candidates in the PST or MST time zones are eligible.
Day-to-day user support tickets
Platform stewardship & governance
Handle: Salesforce platform changes and upgrades
Security updates (e.g., MFA rollouts)
B. Ticketing Reality
Significant volume of tickets: Some escalated from app support into the admin queue
Need someone who can: Handle operational load immediately
Navigate SLA-driven ticket pressure
C. Platform Ownership Focus on: Governance
Standards: Reducing reactive/“heroic” operating model
4. Required Skills & Experience: Must-Have Skills
Strong Salesforce Admin fundamentals: Profiles
Permission sets & groups
Ability to: Balance support + platform work
Operate in a fast-moving environment
Highly Preferred
Salesforce Shield experience (key differentiator)
Experience improving: Security posture
Compliance capabilities
Differentiators
Ability to:
Apply pattern recognition
Identify root causes in ticket trends
Improve processes and reduce recurring issues
5. Technical Scope
Admins are responsible for: Platform management (not just configuration)
Security changes (e.g., MFA enablement)
Development split: Admins → platform management (including some advanced functionality)
Developers → heavy engineering/custom development
6. Salesforce Environment Complexity: Multiple Salesforce Orgs
2 primary orgs (plus a third minor one): R&W (Recycling & Waste)
3,600 users
Product-based (containers, services)
Environmental Services (ES)
Service-based (hazard cleanup, specialized response)
Separate structure (not currently mergeable)
Expectation: Admins should have cross-org awareness
needed across both environments
Certifications: Not mandatory. Act as a tie-breaker between candidates
