Job Description
Compensation: Base $170,000–$200,000 + bonus potential + full benefits
This architect owns the design of a greenfield enterprise AI platform for a highly regulated client.
AI agents analyze data and recommend actions. The platform decides what gets approved.
Every decision has to be traceable and auditable. You design that system end to end — and you will stand in front of the client to defend it.
This is a high-visibility, customer-facing seat inside a minority- and woman-owned boutique technology consulting firm. Not a slide-deck architecture job. Production agentic AI, enterprise integration, and governance controls are the work.
Own end-to-end architecture for the AI governance platform and the agents that connect to it.
Draw a hard line between what AI recommends, who approves it, and what actually executes.
Integrate with systems of record (ERP, EAM, CRM, financial platforms) through existing middleware, identity providers, and cloud infrastructure.
Define a stable integration standard that current and future agents will use.
Set standards for audit, observability, and configuration governance.
Lead architecture reviews and present the solution to executives and architecture review boards.
Mentor a cross-functional team of platform, ML, and full-stack engineers.
Stay close enough to the build to keep the design honest as it hits production.
Strong Enterprise architecture experience
Demonstrated experience designing and deploying agentic AI, multi-agent, or LLM-based systems in a production environment.
Governance and control mindset: human-in-the-loop, authorizations/ approvals, audit trails, and compliance controls built into the system.
Experience integrating into Enterprise platforms (ie ERP, EAM, CRM, financial platforms) through APIs or middleware.
Cloud-native architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience building and presenting business cases, with the ability to defend architecture decisions to client executives.
Proven experience designing human-in-the-loop patterns: approval routing, risk scoring, and audit trails.
Working knowledge of LLM integration, AI agent design, and multi-agent orchestration.
BONUS POINTS
Identity and access design (Entra ID, Okta, OPA, Cedar, workload identity, or similar).
Observability and audit design (OpenTelemetry, tamper-proof / immutable audit records).
Compliance frameworks: SOX / SOX ITGC, HIPAA, NIST AI RMF, NERC-CIP, GxP, or ISO 42001.
Consulting or other client-facing delivery.
Experience working in any of the following industries: Utilities, energy, financial services, healthcare, life sciences, or other critical infrastructure.
Built or hardened a platform from a design spec.
Created a versioned integration contract used by multiple independent teams.
